" i should've known"
how many times have you said these words or heard them from others?
well, i really think that knowledge and belief are poles apart
knowledge is perennial, easily accessible from encyclopedia to Google.
while, beliefs take days to like, months to trust and years to love and protect.
in more ways than one, beliefs far supersede knowledge in making decisions.
so often, we're blinded by what we passionately believe in and sieve knowledge,
accepting only those that support our beliefs,
negating those that act against them.
blinded we are,
until one day, knowledge that supports our beliefs no longer appear,
only remnants of the previous supporting knowledge prevail,
till the day your heart has bled dry,
too weak to even fight your head any longer,
your head, that has been hit by concrete knowledge again and again, that is.
thats the day, you say "i should've known"
but it really shouldnt be that.
"i should've never believed", i reckon, are the only apt words.
